Ken Davenport, MD, FACS

Dr. Davenport is a highly skilled and experienced surgeon who is deeply committed to providing the highest quality of care to his patients. A native of Mobile, Alabama, he has lived in the state his whole life and has a deep appreciation for the warm and welcoming people of Gadsden.

Dr. Davenport’s path to becoming a doctor was somewhat unconventional. He ultimately decided to specialize in surgery, and completed his General Surgery residency at Baptist Health Systems in Birmingham. He is Board Certified in General Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Davenport has a wealth of experience in his field, and serves as Secretary/Treasurer and Chief of Surgery for Gadsden Regional Medical Center. He is actively involved in the leadership and management of the medical center, and works closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for his patients. In addition to his administrative roles, Dr. Davenport also sits on the Peer Review for the medical center, and is deeply committed to staying up-to-date on the latest techniques and treatments in surgery.

In his free time, Dr. Davenport enjoys spending time with his wife, two daughters, and two dogs. He is also an avid musician and plays in a local rock band. He has a passion for beekeeping, traveling, and brewing beer, and is a well-rounded and compassionate healthcare provider.
