Dr. Corbin was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, to parents who immigrated from the Caribbean. He completed his undergraduate degree at UNC-Chapel Hill before going to St. George’s University for medical school. Upon completion of medical school, he completed his residency at St. John’s Riverside Hospital in NY and then trained in Nephrology at Long Island Jewish Hospital, the flagship center for the Northwell Hospital system. Throughout Dr. Corbin’s career, he has embraced and thrived in addressing the concerns of the underserved populations through volunteer service in both religious and non-religious organizations. He is committed to improving healthcare literacy and delivering excellence to his patients. He has moved to Gadsden with his wife and two Chow Chows, Bellatrix and Sirius, drawn to the warm weather, ample space for horticulture, and southern hospitality.
In his free time, he enjoys BBQ, training his dogs, and growing his many indoor and outdoor plants.
