David “Bart” Clapp is a highly-skilled healthcare professional with a diverse range of experience and education. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Auburn University in 1995, and later returned to school to earn his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Jacksonville State University in 2009. Following his graduation, Bart has worked as a registered nurse at Gadsden Regional Medical Center, where he has gained extensive experience in various areas including the cardiac floor, the step-down unit, and the surgical intensive care unit. He has also been trained in open-heart surgical cases, and has spent the past 10 years working in the intensive care unit.
In addition to his nursing career, Bart is also a Community Educator at the Family Success Center of Etowah County. He is dedicated to helping families in his community and is always seeking new ways to make a positive impact. In August of 2022, Bart graduated with his Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Jacksonville State University and became a Certified Registered Family Nurse Practitioner. He is excited to join the Regional Clinic as a CRNP and looks forward to continuing to serve his patients and community.
When he is not working, Bart enjoys spending time with his wife Emma and their two sons, William and Jonathan. They also have four aging dogs and their daughter Daniella who lives nearby. Bart is proud to be a part of the Gadsden community and is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of those around him.
